As in many churches, the “Spring of Life” Church hosted a series of Christmas events in December 2025, bringing together church members and guests through music, creativity, and reflection on the meaning of the birth of Jesus Christ.
December 13–14 — Christmas Concert
For the ninth consecutive year, the church held its traditional Christmas Concert, which continues to be very popular among lovers of live music. The program was centered around a symphony orchestra and a string ensemble, whose maximum size reaches up to 20 violinists. Most of the instrumental Christmas pieces were performed by the string ensemble.
This year, special emphasis was placed on the vocal portion of the program. Out of 13 musical numbers, 6 were performed by the vocal group and the children’s choir. All vocal pieces were accompanied exclusively by the symphony orchestra. One of the highlights of the concert was the Christmas song “The Story of Christmas,” written by Yuri Andreev, one of the leaders of the church’s music ministry.
An integral part of the concert was the Christmas message—a short sermon by the pastor Igor Karabut on the spiritual significance of Christmas, traditionally delivered before the final musical number.
As in previous years, the church’s main auditorium, seating 550 people, was completely full. After the concert, guests were invited to fellowship and refreshments in the church’s second hall.
The concert was organized by:
- Pastor of Music Ministry and Symphony Orchestra Director — Andrey Shuvarikov;
- String Ensemble Directors — Elena Litvinova and Mikhail Verlan;
- Vocal Group and Children’s Choir Directors — Natalia Chavez and Lilia Verlan.
For the convenience of attendees, the concerts were held in both Russian and English. A recording of the Christmas Concert is available on the church’s YouTube channel: in English - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg1FKCxqgo4 and in Russian - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTyJ-PD4l58.
December 19–20 — Christmas Musical Production
The Christmas musical production has become one of the most anticipated traditions of the “Spring of Life” Church and has been held for over 15 years. Each year, the production features a new and unique storyline, presenting the Christmas story through music, acting, and visual imagery.
This year, five performances were held, one of which was specially organized for children with special needs. This practice of thoughtful and compassionate inclusion was first introduced last year and has continued as an important social initiative of the church.
Recordings of the performances are also available on the church’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTyJ-PD4l58 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnC3z45JhC8.
December 21 — Children’s Night of Praise and Worship
The Christmas season concluded with a Children’s Night of Praise and Worship. This service was organized by the church’s Sunday School and Music Academy and featured the children’s choir, vocal groups, and young musicians.
Such children’s worship services are held quarterly at the “Spring of Life” Church and serve as an important part of the spiritual upbringing of the younger generation.
A recording of the Children’s Night of Praise and Worship is also available on the church’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48a_cQ_MUBw.
